Google claiming their magic sauce should spread the load around if congestion, but that doesn’t seem to be happening. We’ve got few tickets open. One caveat, is that HE.net appears to be providing transit to 36040 there, so if you’re a direct/indirect customer or peer of HE.net (which you appear to be via CNS, and I’m guessing via MICE too) they are advertising your prefixes to 36040 anyway. -- Andrew Hoyos hoyosa(a)gmail.com

I’d agree with this as well. This is a relatively low risk upgrade, and don’t see the need to wait or have a third route server. They haven't fundementally changed anything, just added on new attributes. Large Communities has already rolled out in most hardware's code, even if the RFC just came out, they've already been doing it in some fashion for a while. https://labs.ripe.net/Members/emileaben/large-bgp-communities-largely-accep… As somebody was discussing with me, there are several ways of doing setup with them (especially in the Cisco universe), and the BIRD documentation has absolutely zero info on doing any of it right now. The issue is two fold. Nextera's interface has an issue, and has gone down. Google's BGP session with them is stuck in established, so they continue to send traffic towards a down interface. Since the MAC of Nextera's interface has timed out of MICE's switches, the traffic is being flooded to all ports. I am adding Nextera, and Google to this. 8am 10x Route Server Traffic Increase?

A couple weeks ago ISU was having issues with this site, we contacted Amazon about it. They looked into it and it was an issue with the Bureau of Prisons site, and not the Minneapolis CloudFront node. ISU tried contacting Bureau of Prisons about this issue, but never really got a response. As a work around we stop announcing some Iowa Government prefixes to Amazon at MICE. Not yet – I wanted to make sure it was something broader than us. Apparently works fine via AT&T Mobility and i wireless mobile phones, and works fine on my Verizon Wireless phone. I think the site is having issues in general. I have tried on 3 different ISPs (2 of the 3 are not on MICE), and get the same error as listed below. Chris, These ATD (Arista Tech Drive events) are best delivered in a small classroom setting in person and not remote. We actually have students interact and work on labs together. So class sizes of 20-30 generally work best. If travel is the issue then PM me and I can see about doing a separate class in Wisconsin. So right now were are working on March 2nd at the University of Minnesota and will post a registration site very soon to sign up for the class. We do often have Webinar events however. For example January 26th we are doing one on Leveraging Arista eAPI and Ansible to automate network operations. These are great for remote sessions because these are short and easy versus the ATD which is a day long classroom event. For practical scheduling purposes it probably need to at least a couple weeks out. So, staring the week of Jan 30, the room can be available Monday, Jan30, Tuesday, Jan 31, Thursday, Feb 2, Friday, Feb 3, Friday, Feb 10, Monday, Feb 13, Tuesday, Feb 14, Thursday, Feb 16, or Friday, Feb 17. We have a large room here at 2218 University SE where we could seat 20 - 30 in classroom mode and there is a larger room across the street in 2221 University SE that can do 50 or more. I'll bet I can cover coffee and break snacks and there are lots of options for lunch around here or someone else could sponsor the catering for lunch. Participants would need to pay for their parking or take the light rail over, we're less than a block from the Stadium Village Green Line stop. Let me know what you think.
