NANOG in Minneapolis

In fact, the first "MICE" meeting was held in a BBQ joint at NANOG in Austin, TX between Steve Howard and myself. I was browsing the weather map, looking at traffic levels. I found one graph that appears somewhat broken: Consolodated on the MNVoip switch. http://micelg.usinternet.com/cacti/graph.php?rra_id=all&local_graph_id=1914 The blue outbound traffic line is present about 02:00 till 06:00, but missing most of the time. Rochester Hurricane Electric

At 10:02pm, HE lost multiple waves feeding their Rochester POP again. This is the 3rd major outage event in July. The POP is now running on only one circuit and is congested running at 100% capacity so speeds for us and other customers are bottlenecked. I encourage anyone with circuits at Rochester to email noc(a)he.net and ask them to resolve these continued issues by bringing in another circuit that is redundant to their current ones. This is the second of two congestion events and the worst was when they went down completely when all 3-4 paths were cut or down from maintenance in early July. This room has a video room system and remote access will be made available via Zoom video or phone audio, see Zoom details below. Sorry, I meant to get this to Jay last Wednesday afternoon. MICE UG 38 will be held at the University’s Information Technology Building, 2218 University Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414, Room 185. It is across University Ave SE from Huntington Bank Stadium (Formerly TCF Bank Stadium), see the link to the Campus Map below. This room has a video room system and remote access will be made available via Zoom video or phone audio, see Zoom details below. See the link below for the University's COVID-19 Updates, in summary, if you are fully vaccinated, no masks are required in any University building, venue, or outdoors (except as posted, such as in health clinics). If you are not fully vaccinated, you are expected to wear a mask, thank you for your cooperation. Masks will be provided for those that need or want them. Bring your own refreshments, the building's vending machines are still empty due to COVID precautions. There is a Caribou Coffee, just to the southeast of the building, and a CVS on the southwest corner of Ontario St SE and Washington Ave SE, less than a half a block away, and many other options are within easy walking distance. Please enter the building through the middle of three doors on the Ontario St SE side of the building, it will be open after 2:30 and will have a sign on it, if not please knock hard, or call my cell phone(612-812-9952). This door is right outside the meeting room, this avoids everyone traipsing through the building. The Stadium Village Green Line Light Rail Station is less than a block east of the building, kitty-corner at the intersection of University Ave SE and Huron Blvd SE, see the link below for the station's info page. Limited Street Parking is available on Ontario St SE and Beacon St SE. Otherwise, public parking is available in the Oak St and University Ave Ramps, each a little over two blocks away. Also, there is the Maroon and Gold Lots, which are a little further, on the north side of the Stadium, see the links below for more details on these ramps and lots. DO NOT park in University Parking Lot 70 on the north of the building, by the front door, between University Ave SE and the building, or Parking Lot 71 near the loading dock to the east of the building, they are contract parking only and you be ticketed. Yes we emailed their NOC shortly after midnight and they said they lost all 3 or 4 circuits to Rochester which I assume are Belle Plaine, Madison, and now Davenport. They made it sound like they had a couple outages on two paths then at midnight they lost their last path to maintenance.
