Re: Internet Connectivity to the BIRD Route Server's

by Andrew Hoyos

Do the route servers have multiple NIC's? If so, just an idea, but someone with connectivity in the building could provide a /29 and two ports to manage them outside of the MICE space. -- Andrew Hoyos Hoyos Consulting LLC ofc: +1 608 616 9950 andrew(a)hoyosconsulting.com www.hoyosconsulting.com On Tue, Dec 7, 2010 at 5:20 PM, James Montz <jamesmontz(a)mankatonetworks.net>wrote: > Once we have the BIRD Router Server's in place, we are going to need remote > access to them via the Internet. > > However, as we do not intend to broadcast the MICE ASN, the server's will > not be accessible by the Internet at large. > > I believe we will need someone to volunteer to either allow access to the > Route Server's through a jump host/proxy, or NAT some of their space, etc., > to allow SSH to the 2 server's. > > Any volunteer's? Internet Connectivity to the BIRD Route Server's

by James Montz

Once we have the BIRD Router Server's in place, we are going to need remote access to them via the Internet. However, as we do not intend to broadcast the MICE ASN, the server's will not be accessible by the Internet at large. I believe we will need someone to volunteer to either allow access to the Route Server's through a jump host/proxy, or NAT some of their space, etc., to allow SSH to the 2 server's. Any volunteer's? Or other suggestions for remote connectivity to the Router Server's once operational? -- *James Montz* Senior Consultant*Work:* *(320)-496-6689* *Mobile:* (507)-327-4045 *IM:* james.montz (Skype)*Email:* jamesmontz(a)mankatonetworks.net *Web:* http://www.mankatonetworks.net ** *http://www.linkedin.com/in/jmontz* *Mankato Networks LLC* <http://www.mankatonetworks.net/>320 East Liberty Street <http://maps.google.com/maps?q=320+East+Liberty+Street%2CMankato%2CMN+56001&…>Mankato, MN 56001 ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the MICE-DISCUSS list, click the following link: http://lists.iphouse.net/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=MICE-DISCUSS&A=1

Does anyone have, or a line on where to get an old'ish, operational, 1/2U rack mount server for relatively cheap? Route Servers!

Short week last week and a hell of a weekend and early start of this week makes for something something. Servers are in my DC now, OS installed, just need to make updates, finish IP config and get them hauled over. I hope to have this done today and in their new home late today or tomorrow.
