Connection to Sungard: Not really a MICE question...

by Steve Howard

Hello, This isn't really a MICE question, but I figure somebody on the list would know the answer and I'd prefer to send the business to a MICE member. I have a customer that is looking to get to the Sungard data center on Energy Park Drive. Does anybody know of any reasonably priced ethernet connectivity to get there from 511? Jay's voulenteer list reminded me. This past Tuesday, I posted a suggestion for a donated MICE looking glass option. Did anyone have any coments on the post? I am attaching it below if you missed it. They set up the router with a read only login that is listed in the banner when you telnet to it. Ideally, the PDUs that provide the NEMA 5-20R or 5-15R receptacles in the rack should have the NEMA L5-20P on their input cord. Then, all that remains is to make sure that the total load being connected to each PDU does not exceed 18A max or 15A continuous. (You should always run a circuit with 25% continuous headroom and 10% max draw headroom in order to allow for line losses, etc.).
