How long does the UG meeting usually last? I have a training commitment until 4:00pm. I'd love to attend, even if I only catch the later half (assuming it lasts a couple of hours). If you have trouble finding volunteers, I will step up. However, I do not think that HE should hold two seats simultaneously unless necessary. MICE UG 7 Elections

We have one seat open on the MICE Steering Committee and we are looking for volunteers. The SC set the direction of the exchange and deals with all the business stuff required to keep the exchange operational. The technical work is almost all handled by individual volunteers. There is no requirement to be a MICE Member to serve on the SC. Mike Horwath is currently termed out. Jay Hanke is also termed out and will vacate his seat at the next UG this Spring. If you would like to serve or know someone who would please email us at peering(a)micemn.net or post to the discus list. We will vote in person at the MICE UG meeting on October 3rd. Specificly, https://su.itunes.apple.com/ is timing out in the SSL handshake during the failures. The HTTPS connection failed out for SSL: Received close_notify during handshake The actual App content for what I upgraded came from http://a1128.phobos.apple.com/ http://a1746.phobos.apple.com/ which are Akamai CDN, which hit the MICE Akamai cluster. All the other Apple URLs seem to work just fine. also add "app updates" to the pile. not sure whether all of these are triggered by IOS 6, but a bunch of apps have failed after trying to do their downloads. the "big" Apple ones failed first, the dozen or so "little" ones are coming up on the hit parade now and they're failing one by one. however i think the bottleneck is at the App Store end. are they using Akamai? i'm routing through MICE. looking back at the downloads across my router, the iOS upgrade looks to be about 400 mB, the total of the app updates is is about 300 mB and counting and they're all failing. so it'll likely start over again when it tries the next time.
