That was Mike who is out of town this week, and the schedule of the changeover took he and I unprepared as well. There, I've gone ahead and did the IPv4 entries to be 206.108.255.1 & 206.108.255.2 since the general consensys is to keep the same IPv4 last octet. IP address changes

I vaguely remember someone from the iphouse mentioning that they were going to add secondary IP addresses to the route servers during the outage. Just wondering if this has happened since I can only ping them on their original addresses. We don't currently have any direct investment in MICE, but I don't ever recall a firm plan being presented and agreed upon on the list. It appears as though the switch migration and IP assignment work was unilaterally decided and things 'just happened.' We also shut sessions down this morning before the maintenance, and plan on bringing them back up sometime after the maintenance completion announcement is sent. Also, after the surprise maintenance announcement last night, I decided to skim the MICE-DISCUSS list and found the re-numbering discussion. I didn't see any sort of plan come out of it, except that it would be a generally bad idea to combine both maintenances together. Could someone make sure to post the plan to MICE-ANNOUNCE when one has been worked out? What IP addresses did you use? As others have commented as well, I don't recall seeing any address assignments for the new blocks. I would imagine it will be the same last v4 octet and last v6 hextet as what we have now but that was not declared by those in charge. If I am wrong on this please point out where the IP assignments are located for the new address space.
