Hello, I wanted to give a friendly notice that I will be turning up the Arvig BGP session to the MICE Route Servers in about 10-15 minutes. I won’t be announcing any routes yet, but just in case something goes wrong please call my cell phone, 320-429-0837. I do have reception at out rack. Hey route server admins, can somebody look to see if the Arvig session is shutdown? Port comes up and I can ping the servers but no BGP exchange. Yep, both IPv4 and IPv6 sessions on -01 and -02 are up and Established. You are only announcing IPv4 into -01 though, and the MICE RR's have received 7 prefixes from you. It looks like we've grown to 688 IPv4 prefixes and 29 IPv6 prefixes in the exchange now. -- Doug McIntyre <merlyn@iphouse.net> -- ipHouse/Goldengate/Bitstream/ProNS -- Network Engineer/Provisioning/Jack of all Trades ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the MICE-DISCUSS list, click the following link: http://lists.iphouse.net/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=MICE-DISCUSS&A=1

Oh yeah, missed that part, the OS/platform of the route-servers don't easily support BGP MD5. Its of dubious protection as it is, many on NANOG don't advocate for it (per some recentish thread). -- Doug McIntyre <merlyn@iphouse.net> -- ipHouse/Goldengate/Bitstream/ProNS -- Network Engineer/Provisioning/Jack of all Trades ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the MICE-DISCUSS list, click the following link: http://lists.iphouse.net/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=MICE-DISCUSS&A=1
