Once we have the BIRD Router Server's in place, we are going to need remote access to them via the Internet. However, as we do not intend to broadcast the MICE ASN, the server's will not be accessible by the Internet at large. I believe we will need someone to volunteer to either allow access to the Route Server's through a jump host/proxy, or NAT some of their space, etc., to allow SSH to the 2 server's. Any volunteer's? Or other suggestions for remote connectivity to the Router Server's once operational? -- *James Montz* Senior Consultant*Work:* *(320)-496-6689* *Mobile:* (507)-327-4045 *IM:* james.montz (Skype)*Email:* jamesmontz@mankatonetworks.net *Web:* http://www.mankatonetworks.net ** *http://www.linkedin.com/in/jmontz* *Mankato Networks LLC* <http://www.mankatonetworks.net/>320 East Liberty Street <http://maps.google.com/maps?q=320+East+Liberty+Street%2CMankato%2CMN+56001&hl=en>Mankato, MN 56001 ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the MICE-DISCUSS list, click the following link: http://lists.iphouse.net/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=MICE-DISCUSS&A=1
Do the route servers have multiple NIC's? If so, just an idea, but someone with connectivity in the building could provide a /29 and two ports to manage them outside of the MICE space. -- Andrew Hoyos Hoyos Consulting LLC ofc: +1 608 616 9950 andrew@hoyosconsulting.com www.hoyosconsulting.com On Tue, Dec 7, 2010 at 5:20 PM, James Montz <jamesmontz@mankatonetworks.net>wrote:

That's a good idea. Yes, multiple ethernet interfaces are there. I can probably provide the network for them easily enough. BTW: servers are 98% ready to move but my vacation hit after that short week and catchup. I'm back in the office on Tuesday and will hopefully have them moved over in the afternoon same day or Wednesday morning. -- Mike Horwath ipHouse - Welcome home! drechsau@iphouse.net The universe is an island, surrounded by whatever it is that surrounds universes. - Berkeley Fortune ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the MICE-DISCUSS list, click the following link: http://lists.iphouse.net/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=MICE-DISCUSS&A=1

Done.

I have turned them over to Doug and he'll get them over and connected soonish. James, Anthony, you have your data so far, I'll send you hostnames in a sec. Mr. Howard, I will send you DNS updates as well so that things start to work for those working on the BIRD config.
