I'm looking for transport Marquette MI <-> 511. We have an office there, growing. 100ish Mbps for now would be dandy. Ideally, I could do last mile myself with microwave or aerial fiber. Thanks, and if too OT, tell me to shut up! Get in touch with WIN http://www.wins.net They can get you thru Wisconsin to 511 from Iron Mountain and perhaps have some contacts or info about going thru Michigan since it appears they do not have any network coverage of your location. Neither do other Indatel group members from looking at their map. ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the MICE-DISCUSS list, click the following link: http://lists.iphouse.net/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=MICE-DISCUSS&A=1
I have talked to WINS, and they look attractive for Superior, WI to 511 or Chicago, but getting to Marquette is pretty costly. Merit is doing a BTOP fiber build from Duluth/Superior to the UP and through much of the U, but the build doesn't actually go to Marquette, but maybe one of their commercial partners could help you though. Thanks. I'm following that and am working with one of the commercial companies (Lynx) and they're not bad. Trying to get closer to the fiber itself though. Peninsula Fiber Network seems to be able to hit Marquette (also lists 511 as on-net through a partner - WIN long haul?) http://pfnllc.net/pops.php Appears that L(3), CenturyTel/Qwest and Sprint are around there too. Also, had map from folks at 123.net from a while back, which seemed to illustrate some sort of fiber connectivity in/around Marquette, although seem mostly focused on the "LP"… Might be worth checking with them too. PFN seems to be the ticket for this. Thanks!
