The credit card validation is only used for our fraud management system and will not be charged. We understand that the portal is a new experience for many, and we appreciate your feedback to peering@microsoft.com<mailto:peering@microsoft.com> so that we can continue to make improvements to the peering portal. The first step in requesting peering is to associate your ASN to your Azure account. This requires review and approval by our peering team so please wait to receive the mail that says your ASN has been approved before trying to request sessions.
