The problem is X2 versus SFP+ optics. I would be happy to donate, the problem is I only have X2 optics, and no SFP+ laying around. If we moved the GigaPoP, that would solve the immediate problem, so the trick would be if someone had one SFP+ module to facilitate the move. -----Original Message----- From: MICE Discuss [mailto:MICE-DISCUSS@LISTS.IPHOUSE.NET] On Behalf Of Mike Horwath Sent: Wednesday, September 18, 2013 3:59 PM To: MICE-DISCUSS@LISTS.IPHOUSE.NET Subject: Re: [MICE-DISCUSS] MICE Congestion Issues On Sep 18, 2013, at 2:51 PM, Richard Laager <rlaager@WIKTEL.COM> wrote:

Wouldn't it make more sense to move Akamai to the CNS switch? i.e. Move one instead of two? The GigaPOP and HE both purchased their optics, so that could also become a factor in any changes.
It seems to me like it'd make more sense to have the big networks at the main switch, since then the connection to CNS only needs to support the bandwidth needs of CNS and others on that switch. Thus, for now, the single 10Gig between the CNS switch and main switch should be fine.
I agree. Move them to the main switch as it gets it closer to more participants. Optics may just move and be compatible. Agree on the LAG/LACP config for Akamai as well *on the main switch*. -- Mike Horwath, reachable via drechsau@Geeks.ORG ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the MICE-DISCUSS list, click the following link: http://lists.iphouse.net/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=MICE-DISCUSS&A=1 ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the MICE-DISCUSS list, click the following link: http://lists.iphouse.net/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=MICE-DISCUSS&A=1
