Navigating the Future of Bioanalytical Testing: Market Growth, Biologics & Outsourcing Trends
by nidhithankur987＠gmail.com Oct. 29, 2026

Oct. 29, 2026

Key Market Forecast Figures 2026 Estimated Market Size: USD 5.38 Billion 2035 Projected Market Size: USD 10.90 Billion Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR): 8.2% during the forecast period (till 2035) (Note: If evaluating specifically the Large Molecule Bioanalytical Testing Services Market sub-segment, Roots Analysis projects that portion to grow from USD 3.11 Billion in 2026 to USD 5.88 Billion by 2035 at a 7.3% CAGR). Key Segment-Level Highlights & Projections By Application Area: The Oncology segment currently commands the largest share (~85%) of the bioanalytical testing services market due to intense research into tailored cancer therapies and immunotherapies. By Geography: North America holds the largest current market share (~45% of service providers are HQ'd here). Asia-Pacific is projected to experience the highest growth rate (CAGR of ~8.6%), driven by expanding clinical trial activity and investments in regional biopharma infrastructure. Key Future Trends & Growth Drivers Surge in Biologics and Advanced Modalities (Cell & Gene Therapies) Small vs. Large Molecules: While small molecules currently hold the majority share (~56%) due to historical drug pipelines, large molecules (biologics, cell and gene therapies, bispecific antibodies, mRNA) are projected to grow at the highest CAGR. Complex Bioassays: Advanced therapeutic modalities require specialized bioanalytical testing, including high-sensitivity cell-based potency assays, immunogenicity assessments, and biomarker analyses that in-house pharma labs struggle to maintain cost-effectively. Shift Towards High-Throughput Automation & Advanced Software While reagents currently dominate product-level market shares, demand is accelerating rapidly for automated instruments, consumables, and bioanalytical software. Integrating software and automated liquid-handling systems reduces sample preparation bottlenecks, minimizes human error, and accelerates sample analysis workflows. Strategic Reliance on Third-Party CRO Outsourcing Setting up in-house, GLP/GCLP-compliant bioanalytical testing facilities requires significant capital expenditure and ongoing maintenance of specialized high-resolution equipment (e.g., LC-MS/MS, qPCR, digital PCR). BioPharma sponsors are increasingly turning to specialized CROs/CDMOs to leverage external technical expertise, lower operational overhead, and streamline regulatory submissions for faster drug approvals. Expansion of Bioavailability & Bioequivalence (BA/BE) Testing Pharmacokinetics (PK) testing currently commands the largest share (~45%) of the test type segment. However, Bioavailability and Bioequivalence (BA/BE) testing is projected to exhibit the highest growth rate, propelled by the surge in generic and "super generic" drug development worldwide. Geographic Infrastructure Expansion in Asia-Pacific While North America remains the dominant market (~45% of service providers are HQ'd here), the Asia-Pacific region is set to grow at the fastest CAGR (~8.6%). This is driven by lower clinical trial costs, expanding healthcare infrastructure, and strategic facility investments by global CROs in countries like China and India. Conclusion Market Outlook: The Bioanalytical Testing Services Market is positioned for robust growth, expanding from USD 5.38 Billion in 2026 to USD 10.90 Billion by 2035 at an 8.2% CAGR. Strategic Takeaway: The industry is transitioning from routine analytical support toward highly specialized, tech-enabled outsourcing partnerships. CROs that invest in high-sensitivity technologies (mass spectrometry, ligand-binding assays, PCR) and digital assay platforms will be best equipped to capture market share as biopharma pipelines tilt heavily toward complex biological entities and targeted therapies. https://www.rootsanalysis.com/reports/bioanalytical-testing-services-market…

Used Vehicle Market: The Quiet Giant of Automotive
by akashtyagimrfr＠gmail.com Oct. 28, 2026

Oct. 28, 2026

Used Vehicle Market: The Quiet Giant of Automotive The used vehicle market reached USD 414.23 billion in 2025 and is projected to hit USD 500.02 billion by 2035, growing at a modest 1.9% CAGR. What makes this space fascinating is how consumer behavior and digital platforms are reshaping a traditionally fragmented industry. https://www.marketresearchfuture.com/reports/used-vehicle-market-7616 Online marketplaces like Carvana and CarMax are driving transparency, while nearly 40% of first-time buyers now opt for used vehicles. Certified pre-owned programs offer warranty-backed assurance, and used EV demand is climbing as battery technology matures. Will online sales eventually overtake offline dealerships as the dominant channel? And how quickly will used EV residuals stabilize enough to make them mainstream?

UG 50 Meeting, Election, and Bylaws Change
by Richard Laager Oct. 27, 2026

Oct. 27, 2026

The MICE UG 50 meeting will be held Wednesday, October 28, 3:00 pm at UMN and via Zoom. * * *Governor Nominations *We will be holding an election for a board seat. The board consists of three seats with staggered terms, such that one seat comes up for re-election each year (at the fall meeting). This year Anthony Anderberg is up for election. As in the past, we will close nominations in advance of the meeting so people have a chance to instruct a proxy appropriately. Nominations will be open for two weeks, October 12 - October 25. I plan to send reminder emails approximately at the start of and just after the nomination period. In the event that the election is uncontested, our practice is to elect by acclimation at the meeting. Proxies are unnecessary in that situation, assuming that the meeting makes quorum.* * * * *Bylaws Change* I have added to the agenda a bylaws change. The idea is that we should prohibit governors (board members) who are family members or affiliated (e.g. work for the same company). We have long done prohibited affiliated /members/ from having multiple votes. It seems like we should also have this for our 3 person board of governors, where two affiliated governors would constitute a quorum and a majority. I believe we have a board consensus on the general idea. Attached is the proposed change. Aside from incrementing the "Second" to "Third" in the title, and the renumbering of sections, all of the changes are on page 6, to the existing Governors section 2.2 and adding a new 2.3. The language is from our lawyer, with the following changes by me. The first change by me is substantive; the rest are typographical. I've asked our lawyer to comment on those changes. 1. I added "employee" so it reads, "There will be deemed to be “Multiple Representation” if two governors shall either be an _employee, _officer, director, governor, or manager of or shall have a controlling interest in a single organization or its Affiliates." 2. Our lawyer left the title of the first section as "Number; Qualifications". I dropped "Qualifications", since that is moving to the new section. 3. Our lawyer wrote, "Governors shall be natural persons, but governors need not be members." I kept the two sentences exactly as they are now: "Governors shall be natural persons. Governors need not be members." (Note that we prohibit natural persons as members, so naturally governors cannot be members directly.) 4. Our lawyer wrote, "if (a) such person Family Member of another governor". I added the missing "is a": "such person _is a_ Family Member". SIX did the same thing. They said, "In light of a recent industry election in which a single employer was close to having two representatives on a Board with five seats, the SIX Board & Advisors have drafted a Bylaws revision to prevent such a risk at the SIX." *Proxies * The bylaws state that you send proxies to the Chief Manager (me, Richard Laager), and electronic means are acceptable. So a simple email is sufficient: rlaager(a)micemn.net or chiefmanager(a)micemn.net. If you send a vote by email (e.g. "We vote for <X>."), I will treat it as an a proxy appointment, appointing me to vote on your behalf, but restricted to only the election item and to only vote for the candidate you expressed. Likewise, if you submit something for the bylaws change (e.g. "We vote in favor of the bylaws change."). If you send a proxy with different instructions (e.g. "We appoint <Y> to vote for us."), obviously that will be honored as written. * * *UMN Details* (from David Farmer) Room 120 2829 University Avenue SE Minneapolis, MN 55414 https://campusmaps.umn.edu/university-park-plaza https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZgoeDvzJzUZU98Bg6 This is about 6 blocks east of the old location on University Avenue SE, just west of the US Post Office. MICE RS2 Bird Update
by Jay Hanke Oct. 27, 2025

Oct. 27, 2025

MICE will be upgrading BIRD on RS2 (Ridgeview) at 12:00 PM Central time today to resolve the malformed BGP update issues causing flapping BGP sessions. We expect the upgrade to be less than 30 minutes. All sessions to RS2 will drop during this time. Sessions to RS1 will be unaffected. MICE is planning to apply the same patch to RS1 (511) on Monday. -- Jay Hanke, President South Front Networks jayhanke(a)southfront.io Phone 507-327-2398 https://southfront.io/

UG 46 Meeting & Election
by Richard Laager Oct. 8, 2025

Oct. 8, 2025

The MICE UG 46 meeting will be held Wednesday, October 9, 3:00 pm at UMN and via Zoom. Parking, etc. details same as before: https://lists.iphouse.net/cgi-bin/wa?A2=MICE-DISCUSS;2c503e19.2209 * * *Zoom Details* https://umn.zoom.us/j/97601658469?pwd=C6JWkmoYfB9WjZsnRPr9S5u1l4Zkuz.1 ID: 94910223662, passcode: Jp74Et 651-372-8299, meeting ID 97601658469, passcode 864193 * * *Nominations* We will be holding an election for a board seat. The board consists of three seats with staggered terms, such that one seat comes up for re-election each year (at the fall meeting). This year, Reid's seat is up for election. As in the past, we will close nominations in advance of the meeting so people have a chance to instruct a proxy appropriately. *Nominations will be open for two weeks, September 23 - October 6. *I plan to send reminder emails approximately at the start of and just after the nomination period. In the event that the election is uncontested, our practice is to elect by acclimation at the meeting. Proxies are unnecessary in that situation, assuming that the meeting makes quorum. *Proxies * The bylaws state that you send proxies to the Chief Manager (me, Richard Laager), and electronic means are acceptable. So a simple email is sufficient: rlaager(a)wiktel.com or chiefmanager(a)micemn.net. If you send me a /vote/ by email (e.g. "We vote for <X>."), I will treat it as an a proxy appointment, appointing me to vote on your behalf, but restricted to /only/ the election item and to /only/ vote for the candidate you expressed. If you send me a proxy with different instructions (e.g. "We appoint <Y> to vote for us."), obviously that will be honored as written. -- Richard

T-Mobile Traffic Changes
by David Farmer Aug. 1, 2025

Aug. 1, 2025

Last Night, around midnight, our traffic going to T-Mobile stopped going through MiCE. [image: image.png] [image: image.png] [image: image.png] It looks like they migrated traffic to their new MICE port. But we are no longer receiving any IPv4 routes from T-Mobile via MICE, but are receiving 5 IPv6 routes. We have also had instability (packet loss) with our IPv6 traffic from them for several weeks. Anyone else seeing this? Do you have any good contacts to get it resolved? Unfortunately, our contact with their NOC has not been returned or acknowledged. Thanks -- =============================================== David Farmer Email:farmer@umn.edu Networking & Telecommunication Services Office of Information Technology University of Minnesota 2218 University Ave SE Phone: 612-626-0815 Minneapolis, MN 55414-3029 Cell: 612-812-9952 ===============================================

Are the IRR import and router update processes running as expected? Asking because I'm seeing some announcements being IRRd filtered that I don't expect. Non-MICE/perhaps dumb question
by Frank Bulk May 29, 2025

May 29, 2025

I've been reviewing some of AWS's connectivity products, but it seems like none of them are designed to improve the AWS experience for all of an ISP's customers across AWS's various regions. The background here is that we have a business customer using a key application hosted in AWS's East Coast region. The applications' document upload performance has been less than ideal, and their external consultant is blaming their ISP - us. As you know, once traffic leaves our network and hits upstream providers, our influence on the experience is very limited. My initial thought was to explore whether we could bring AWS closer to all of our customers through some kind of direct peering or other arrangement with AWS. However, from what I'm seeing, AWS's connectivity options are mostly targeted at connecting a single enterprise to AWS, not enhancing general public access to AWS services. Is that just the reality of it, or is there a broader product (other than direct peering with Amazon) that would improve AWS performance for all our customers?
