Everything is single mode.

Guessing Akamai/Hurricane are using LR X2 optics over single mode? If they're running SR over multi I might have some extra 10Gb SFP+ Cisco brand optics.

I don't recall what model switch the CNS unit is – are they X2 based ports or SFP+ ?
If SFP+ I bet the Juniper switch would be OK with Cisco modules.

Wouldn't it make more sense to move Akamai to the CNS switch? i.e. Move one instead of two? The GigaPOP and HE both purchased their optics, so that could also become a factor in any changes.
Can Akamai connect to both switches at a 10Gig level? Perhaps that would be easier than moving anybody?

Should we just move the GigaPOP and HE to the main switch?

There appears to be some intermittent congestion issues on MICE right
now between the Main switch and the CNS remote switch.
We may need to move a link (or two) to the main switch.

"Apple also announced details of its completely redesigned mobile operating system, iOS 7, that will be ready for download on Sept. 18."
Saw in the news and and figure a major bump in traffic is coming from Akamai beginning this day.

Couple MICE items of interest this morning:
We're currently looking at a fiber cut in the Sothern part of the state that may affect MICE members, it's West of Owatonna and happened at about 11:15am. Folks in that area are investigating and I don't know any details just yet.
Also: MICE had a new peak traffic level last night: 11.39Gbps

Route servers will be configured when ASN is assigned.

I just realized that Akamai appears to have had a significant change in
traffic today. Does anybody know what happened?

All,
Please see the attached quote. We will need to renew the support for
another year for the Juniper switches. I believe we have enough in the
account to cover it at this time.
Any discussion or comments?

Woohoo. It appears Akamai has everything sorted starting last Friday and ramped up traffic into MICE.
