Hello,
The MICE 10Gig Switch has arrived.
Could somebody from the technical committee (am I on that committee?)
please contact me so that we can figure out the configuration details.
Thanks,
Steve

Does anyone have, or a line on where to get an old'ish, operational, 1/2U
rack mount server for relatively cheap?
We are looking to get 1 or 2 servers in our lab, something along the lines
of Dell PE 1/2k series, Compaq DL 1xx, even commodity SuperMicro?

Short week last week and a hell of a weekend and early start of this week
makes for something something.
Servers are in my DC now, OS installed, just need to make updates, finish
IP config and get them hauled over.
I hope to have this done today and in their new home late today or
tomorrow.
If you have your link up and aren't at least doing some bilateral peering,
what are you waiting for? :)

Mike Hemphill-
Any chance we could get a link to MICE from the FWR page?

James has the BIRD route server config working in our lab for both v4 and v6.
So if everyone is finished arguing about the OS we should be ready to
start testing.
Also, we had a couple of volunteers at the last meeting to assist in
testing the route servers. I remember ipHouse who else volunteered or
is willing to volunteer?
Volunteering means setting up a session to each of the route servers.

Hello,
This isn't a MICE related request, but I thought that I would ask here
because I'd prefer to send our money to a MICE member!
We (Paul Bunyan Telephone and CNS) are looking for somebody that we can
call to take care of occasional equipment issues in the FWR space at the
511 Building.
Paul Bunyan Telephone is based in Bemidji, about four hours North of the
511 Building. In the event of an equipment failure, we'd like to be
able to call somebody that can get there quickly. I think that we would
need somebody with basic technical skills who can handle things like
resetting equipment, changing out a card, moving equipment, etc. CNS
and/or PBT have had equipment at the 511 Building for about 18 months
and haven't had a failure there yet, so we don't really know what to expect.
Are any of you that are in the area interested in this? I envision us
paying a reasonable monthly fee plus regular hourly rates if we need to
utilize your services. If so, please send me an e-mail.
Thanks,
Steve
